Our super saucy chocolate mug cake is the perfect little chocolate hit when you're feeling like something sweet and saucy, but don't want to bake a whole cake.

All you need for this indulgent dessert is a Halo & Swoon Chocolate Cake mix, some plant milk, and a little coconut sugar and cacao powder to make the sauce.

Saucy Chocolate Mug Cake

Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 1 minutes 15 seconds

5 Tbsp HALO & SWOON CHOCOLATE CAKE MIX 

3 Tbsp plant milk

Sauce:

1 tsp coconut sugar

1 tsp raw cacao powder

1-2 Tbsp hot water (if you like it extra saucy add 2)

In a microwave-proof mug, mix together the cake mix and plant milk until smooth.

In a small dish or bowl, combine the sauce ingredients, then pour over top of the cake mix.

Microwave on high (900W) for 1 minute 15 seconds.

Your mug cake is ready when the sides are risen and cakey, and the centre and bottom is deliciously saucy.

Note: because microwave ovens can vary, you may need to play around with the cooking time to get the ratio of cake to sauciness just right.
