Seeded Crackers

Inspired by the Danish crackerbread (knaekbrod), our crunchy gluten-free Seeded Cracker recipe is made with wholesome, organic ingredients. Packed with the goodness of flax, sesame, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, our easy-bake Seeded Cracker mix is a healthy, allergy-friendly alternative to regular crackers. Perfect for snacking, school lunches, sharing platters, and anything in between.

*Seeded Crackers is made in a room that is free from gluten, eggs and dairy. Because it contains sesame seeds, it's made in a room that handles other nuts and seeds so it may contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts and soy.

Ingredients

*White rice flour, *Flaxseed, *Sunflower seeds, *Sesame seeds, *Pumpkin seeds, Baking powder (Raising agents (Sodium bicarbonate, Disodium pyrophosphate), Anticaking agent (Calcium carbonate), Maize starch), NZ Sea salt (*Certified Organic).

How to bake
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan bake (200°C conventional), and line 2 baking sheets with paper or mats.
  2. Pour mix into a bowl, add water and oil. Mix until it comes together.
  3. Divide the mix between the two baking trays.
  4. Roll each mix out between 2 sheets of paper until it’s approximately the thickness of the seeds.
  5. Leave the cracker mix to sit at room temperature for a minimum 30 minutes to allow rice flour to absorb the water (this creates smooth crackers).
  6. Use a large knife to mark into crackers, then place trays in centre of oven to bake for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  7. Remove crackers from oven, allow to cool before storing in an airtight container.

Recipe Adaption

Herb cracker recipe:

At step 2, add 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh thyme and rosemary (or 1 Tbsp dried) to the dry mix, then follow remaining steps.
